One Mission, Two R&D Tracks

Practical wildfire prevention tools shaped by field constraints: hard-to-reach terrain, limited logistics, and time-critical operations

KAOMA Labs develops practical wildfire prevention tools shaped by field constraints: hard-to-reach terrain, limited logistics, and time-critical operations. The project runs as two tracks—one active and one exploratory—under a validation-first approach.

TRACK A (PRIMARY)

Retardant Gel for Spot Protection

A gel prototype under lab screening designed for spot protection: protecting high-risk points near communities, infrastructure, or critical edges.

What it is intended to do

Delay ignition

On selected surfaces (screening stage)

Slow flame spread

In localized scenarios (screening stage)

Support deployment decisions

Through evidence-led testing

Current Status: Lab screening in progress (not field validated yet)

TRACK B (EXPLORATION)

Firebreak Mat Concept

A portable, reusable multi-layer mat designed to reinforce temporary firebreaks in difficult terrain.

Current Status: Prototype exploration; deployment demo conducted at home to evaluate portability and setup workflow. Field testing is planned in Chiang Mai.

Deployment Demo (Home Testing)

Step 1: Unroll

Step 2: Place

Step 3: Secure

Important Note:
These are prototypes, not certified products. Performance targets will be confirmed through pilots and standards-based testing.
